I became an educator after a first career in corporate purchasing. I earned my teaching credentials through the alternate route program in New Jersey. The program served as a route for those who wanted to leave a business career and transition to a career in education.
I started my teaching career with a B.A. and over the years, earned two graduate degrees in education. I hold six professional certifications from the State of New Jersey, have presented numerous professional development sessions for educators, and have been an adjunct instructor at The College of New Jersey, Montclair State University and Raritan Valley Community College. My adjunct work included a graduate class delivered to in-service teachers on the appraisal and diagnostics of reading disabilities, an undergraduate class in content reading for pre-service teachers and a first year undergraduate writing class.
